Pinus resinosa—the Red Pine — grows strong, straight and tall from a vigorous root system.  It is an adaptable coniferous evergreen, native to cool/cold climates from Eastern Canada to the Great Lakes Region. Known to be self-pruning ( few dead branches), the Red Pine is one of Michigan’s fastest growing trees, and commercially valuable.
